I decided that I am going to start using a more logical rating system for the books I read instead of going by how the book made me feel, and what I think it deserves to be rated as. First Lines Friday//January 8, 2021
First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
- Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
- Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
- Finally… reveal the book!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?

Spell the Month in Books//January
I’ve seen this on several blogs including One Book More, and Secret Library Book Blog, and thought it looked like fun! It was originally created by Reviews from the Stacks, and the idea is to spell the month using the first letter of book titles. This month I've decided to focus on books being published in 2021!
