WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
📚 The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien – I FINALLY started this book on Saturday as I was cleaning/baking I’m listening to the audiobook from Libro.fm and it’s (of course) narrated by Andy Serkis. It’s just so good, and I find this way of reading this trilogy more manageable than sitting and reading it.
📚 The Last House on the Street by Diane Chamberlain – This is an ARC I received from The Book Wardrobe. It’s part historical fiction part thriller. It comes out in January and it will be interesting to see how the two timelines are connected.
📚 The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab – I’m only a few pages in, and I can see why it’s been highly rated. I’m trying hard not to think about the reviews, and just enjoy the novel. I’ll be sure to write a review about this book!
📚 The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay – This was a super fun read! I normally don’t read contemporary novels, but this was my exception. I loved the characters, I got invested in them and wanted to keep reading! Thankfully I have Of Literature and Lattes which ties into this novel and I’ll probably read it next year.
📚 The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien – This wasn’t my favourite book of the three, but I did enjoy it. Treebeard remains one of my favourite characters, and this book just emphasized that. I forget how different yet similar the books are to the movies. I’m definitely appreciating them as two separate forms of media.
📚 Gilded by Marissa Meyer – I’ll be reading this for an end-of-year readathon I’m doing this year.
📚 The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid – I meant to read this in November (oops) so I’ll be reading this one also for the readathon.
What are you reading this week?
