It’s been so long since I did one of these! So many great books are coming out this month that I’m excited for!
September 2

The Hidden Child by Louise Fein is a historical fiction novel that takes place during World War II. I read Daughter of the Reich by Fein and I hope this book is just as well-written as that one with great character developments and plot.

The Hawthrone Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is the sequel to The Inheritance Games which blew me away. If this sequel is anything like the first book then I’ll be in for a wild ride. I actually have this pre-ordered from my local bookstore!

Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian has been literally everywhere on my Instagram. It’s a thriller and looks like it would be right up my alley. I also have this one pre-ordered from my bookstore.

White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson is the perfect spooky read, and that cover is insanely gorgeous! It’s a YA psychological thriller, which takes the classic haunted house story and gives it a modern twist. I am so looking forward to reading this book in October!

My Sweet Girl by Amanda Jayatissa is yet another thriller, I think September is when all the thrillers are released in preparation for Spooky Season! This novel features Paloma as she comes to America when she’s adopted from a Sri Lankan orphanage, and her life when she’s thirty-years-old being cut off from her parents’ funds. She finds a roommate who seems to know about her darkest secret, and is then found dead in their apartment. It also appears that there is no evidence that this roommate ever existed. I have a feeling this book will be one that I read in October for that spooky factor. I’m also just a sucker for thrillers!

All These Bodies by Kendare Blake is one that I have been eagerly awaiting. I read her previous series, Three Dark Crowns, and loved them. I can’t wait to see how she’s grown as a writer. This is another one perfect for October and Spooky Season! This book is about a string of murders with the bodies drained of their blood, but the blood is nowhere to be seen.
Let me know if there are any books on here that you’re excited about or even ones that I didn’t include. Happy reading!
ooh i really have to get to the inheritance games, glad to hear that you enjoyed it! thank you for the list ❤

The book was really good! It had a lot of puzzles and clues in it which I really enjoyed trying to figure out along with the characters.
