WWW Wednesday//January 20, 2021

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

📚 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – I forgot just how dense in material in this book is! I’m about half-way through and they’re only in their second week of school… I feel like some things could have been edited down to be more concise? I’m still enjoying it and getting overly emotional again at the state of this poor book. (Check out my Instagram for more emotions about this re-read)

📚 Sherwood by Meagan Spooner – Still plugging away at this one! Hoping to be done ASAP!

📚 Layla by Colleen Hoover – This is the first book by Colleen (I say this like I know her personally, I don’t) that I’m reading and I’m enjoying it so far! I have Verity by her that I might read after this one!

📚 Matilda by Roald Dahl – I’m taking my time with this one. I still can’t believe I haven’t read this as a kid.

📚 I was reading The Push by Ashley Audrain but I had to DNF at 20%. This one should have come with trigger warnings for child abuse, neglect, and some very graphic child birth scenes. I wouldn’t really classify this novel as a ‘thriller’ as it was a very slow build and I quickly lost interest. It was well written from what I read, but it wasn’t for me. If you decide to read this one let me know what you think!

📚The Lost Manuscript by Cathy Bonidan – I read this in two sittings. I have never read a book like this before and I was so surprised I liked it so much! The entire novel is written in letters from the characters to each other focusing on this lost manuscript. It was such an enjoyable read!

📚 Undetermined. Probably Tarryn Fisher’s new novel The Wrong Family. Or something from this month’s TBR.
