There are so many great books that are being released in January that I thought I would share a few with you. I’ve already pre-ordered a couple from my local bookstore! (Shop local when you can please) Let me know which books you’re looking forward to in January that’s included in my list, or ones that aren’t.
Our Darkest Night by Jennifer Robson is a historical fiction novel taking place during World War II. I’m a huge fan of historical fiction and this one sounded like a different take with a different perspective about World War II. I’m all about fresh content in a heavily saturated historical fiction market. I haven’t seen much publicity for this book around, but I’m excited about this one. It feels like something that I haven’t read yet which excites me. Jennifer Robson is Canadian and I’m always looking to read more Canadian books.
The Push by Ashley Audrain is a psychological thriller that I am so excited about. It has to do with motherhood and children and family which makes this even more interesting to me. I love a good family entanglement with lots of twists and turns thrown in.
I am so excited about Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas! I read The Hate U Give a few years back and it’s stuck with me. I’ve already pre-ordered this one and I can’t wait to read it! It takes place before The Hate U Give when Mav was 17. I loved him as a character, and I can’t wait to see his growth and what made him into the person he is in The Hate U Give.
Lana’s War by Anita Abriel is another historical fiction novel set during World War II. It has to do with cover stories, spying, and of course some romance. I love a good novel that also includes suspense! I read The Light After the War and was less than impressed with that novel, so when I got an eARC from the publisher I had to give this book a chance – maybe it will be better?
The Lost Manuscript by Cathy Bonidan has me so excited. I requested an eARC of this novel via NetGalley and I can’t wait to read it. It’s on the top of my TBR! I enjoy novels about books and this one just sounds amazing. It’s a romance novel mixed with some mystery, but I’m okay with that because of books! I can’t wait to dive into this one!
The Knockout by Sajni Patel is a YA novel. It features an Indian character as the protagonist which I am here for along with a sport that most girls don’t partake in. This cover is also stunning! I enjoy books that break from the norm of YA and I am here for this one.
Let me know if there are any books on here that you’re excited about or ones that I didn’t include. I’m always looking to add more books to my TB. Happy reading!
