Outside the Blogging Life
I had a rough week mental health wise. I didn’t work on Friday due to the province wide teacher union strikes, so I spent the day in bed. Yesterday I forced myself to get up and go to the college to complete readings. I found it difficult to concentrate, even as I’m typing this my fingers are moving slower than normal, my brain feels like sludge, moving like molasses slowly out of the container.
Occasionally I’ll get into these deep “funks” where I don’t want to move from my bed. I will wrap all my blankets around me, pull them over my head and sleep all day and night. I won’t eat, I won’t drink. Trying to formulate words and thoughts takes a lot of effort. I’ll lose all interest in reading, crocheting, going on my computer to look up more books, talk to my friends, basically anything that brings me joy I won’t partake in. I haven’t had this happen in a couple of years and it’s never been this bad. I’m going on day three of feeling like this. I don’t even want to post anything on my blog today; I don’t even want to edit the posts that I was going to post last week… I just want my bed and my blankets. Hopefully this will pass and I can get back on track next week. But if you see I’m not posting it’s because my mental health has taken precedence over anything else. I’ll get back to myself; it may just take some time for me to find out what’s suddenly causing this.
I’m sorry it was a tough week! I hope this one is better for you, and that this weekend has been relaxing and good for you. It’s funny how these things hit us sometimes and we have no idea why or when.
I recognize some of those authors on your ARC arrivals. Hope they are all good reads. 🙂

Thank you, I think this weekend was just what I needed. I’m slowly starting to feel better already. I’m excited to get started on reading some of my ARCs this week!
