It’s almost the start of a new month! I’ve been super busy with work and school that I’m just getting around to doing blog posts now! Expect a slew of posts in the next few days, thankfully there’s that schedule a post option! Here’s my recent goals for February.
Reading Goals
My reading goals this month are mostly focused on joining reading challenges. I’ve already picked my books for the Read Harder challenge that Book Riot is hosting. I’ve already picked my first book that I want to read, 57 Bus: A True Story of Two Teenagers and the Crime That Changed Their Lives by Dashka Slater which falls under the YA non-fiction book category. You can find a link to Amazon for the book here.
I’ve already made a sign-up post (which will be live soon!) stating that I was going the #startonyourshelfathon which is hosted over at The Quiet Pond. It caught my attention while I was scrolling; it looks super adorable and the story has pulled me in! There’s also a sloth which means I’m 100% invested!
I’ve been really trying to maintain my bedtime routine, and trying to read for at least an hour before bed. Some nights I’m so exhausted that I skip out on this, but I make up for it by now reading while I take the bus to and from work/to school.
Blog Goals
I made some blog goals last month which included connecting more on the blogsphere. I think I’m managing this one pretty well. I went to school with a girl who now has her own bookstagram account! Her name is Vicki, she lives in Bermuda and her insta is fabulous, I have envy over how gorgeous her pictures look. I’ve started on one of my goals to create more original content; I’m finding it difficult to find time to write my own thoughts and ideas down between school and my awful job which I found out that I can’t quit if I want to keep a roof over my head and food on my table. I think I may need to re-evaluate my schedule and make time for this; it’s not off the table completely!
Goals for January…
📚 Clear and read all of my January 2020 ARC publications on NetGalley
I didn’t meet my goals to clear all my ARCs… I only added to them!
📚 Stay on track with my blog postings – including blog memes and book reviews
I’ve been keeping on track to meet my blog posts on time and on schedule. I think I missed only a couple of postings, which I can live with. I can’t be perfect with these things; life happens!
📚 Read 10 books/novels
I only read 6 books last month which means I didn’t meet my goal. *sigh*
New Goals for February
📚 Read 8 books this month. I dropped down my target because it’s a short month, and I just don’t know if I can manage with work and my course load for school. It’s all about time-management!
📚 Stay on track with my blog postings – including blog memes and book reviews – I plan on dedicating my weekends to my blog.
📚 I promise I will NOT! Request anymore books from NetGalley. I’m way too backlogged on books!
What are you goals for this month, or for this year? Are you participating in any read-a-thons or book challenges? What is a must-read book for you?
