Outside the Blogging Life
On Friday my boyfriend and I went to a London Knights game. I’m a HUGE hockey fan, I watch the Montreal Canadiens (NHL hockey team) as often as I can and I try to go to as many London Knights (OHL) games as I can with my boyfriend.
Before the hockey game Andre (my boyfriend) and I had a little date. We went to the library up the street so I can FINALLY get a library card. After that we went to the mall to grab some Greek food, we love Greek food even more now since we went to Greece last May. (If anyone has some great Greek restaurant recommendations in the London Ontario area hit me up!) After we ate, I convinced Andre that we needed to go to Coles or this wouldn’t be “a proper date.” I really enjoy going to bookstores and picking up books and seeing if I requested them on NetGalley or what publishing house their part of… My English/Book Nerd fully comes out. I picked up “The Woman on the Edge” since I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about the book, and the customer service person at Coles sold me on it. We got some Bubble Tea, which is quickly becoming one of my favourite drinks! Then we stopped at Scholars Choice.
I sometimes get anxiety which causes me to become even more stressed and can lead to crying in excess for a few hours. I sometimes experience anxiety while I’m working on my courses for school, and just in general .To help with this, Andre bought me a weighted animal, hence our trip to Scholar’s Choice. I picked up a blue frog which weights 2.5 kg or about 5.5 lbs. We named him Bluey and I’m treating him like an actual pet; he’s currently hanging out on my lap as I type this. Andre and I have taken to keeping him on our arms/shoulders as we walk around the apartment… I think we may need to get an actual pet!
Hopefully next week won’t be as stressful as this week was. What did you get up to this week? Do you have any plans for next week?
Pets can really help reduce stress, I miss having a cat around the house.
That’s a lot of ARC’s, enjoy!

I have a cat at my dad’s house who likes to snuggle with me at night. She’s very demanding about getting her belly rubbed and her head scratched constantly. I think having her around causes more stress!

I didn’t know they made weighted pets…well stuffed ones..that is awesome! I find a blanket helps when my anxiety is high, plus not sure if this is true for you, but when my anxiety is high the cold effects me easier. I hope you love Recursion by Blake Crouch.

I didn’t know they existed until I went into Scholar’s Choice one day to get something for my after school program. That’s interesting about the cold and your anxiety, I never noticed a relation personally. I’ve always needed something heavy on my chest when I sleep.
