My Thoughts

This novel read exactly like a Hallmark movie; it was sweet, wholesome and a pleasure to read. I finished this novel in a day; it was a fast and easy read for me.

My only real complaint with this novel is how often Cleo’s parental problems kept coming up; how disappointed her parents are that she’s not following into their footsteps, that they’re not supporting her, etc. I feel like it was too forced upon the reader, to get the reader to understand why Cleo is the way she is, and the decisions behind her thoughts and actions throughout the novel.

Overall it was a fun read, exactly what I needed to get out of my slight reading slump. This was enjoyed with a fruit tea blend, because the content of the novel was so light and flirty it paired wonderfully together.
