To be honest, I really did not like this book. I tried very hard to find redeeming qualities, but after Curtis made mention that a character could see blue eyes and blonde hair of a person from a black and white picture I about called it quits. The only redeeming quality was the parts that included the killer’s innermost thoughts. I’m interested in the why people kill and their logic behind their thought process – it’s so fascinating and intriguing to me! The worst parts were everything in-between. Curtis added too many characters who all sounded very similar, and who lacked character development. I had a lot of trouble keeping track of all these characters and how they knew other or were related.
The end read like it was supposed to be all nicely wrapped up. I feel like Curtis added the ending to basically tell the reader what happened and the motive behind the murder. It fell so flat for me, and at the end of the novel I was 100% done.
This is one book that I am advising my family and friends not to buy. I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for an honest review.

Bummer 😦 Thanks for the heads-up! Most of the books I LOVE are because I feel like I know the characters. Flat characters definitely wouldn’t work.
No problem! The reviews I read were so misleading. I couldn’t connect to the characters at all. I feel like the author tried to breathe more life into them, but it fell short.
