Books Read

The Wives by Tarryn Fisher

Total Pages: 256

Rating: 5/5

Thoughts:

This book was so freaking good! I finished this on December 30 and I still can’t stop thinking about it. This book is not what I was expecting it to be, it was better. This was the first time I read anything by Tarryn Fisher and I will be reading more of her novels in the future. I’ll be posting a full book review in the coming days of this novel.

This Light Between Us by Andrew Fukuda

Pages: 384

Rating: 4/5

Thoughts:

I really enjoyed this novel. This novel is set to be released on January 7. This novel was a nice break from the same regurgitated plot from the historical novels I read set in World War II. I’ll have a full book review for this novel next week. I received it from NetGalley and Macmillan-Tor/Forge in exchange for an honest review.

In Five Years by Rebecce Serle

Pages: 272

Rating: 5/5

Thoughts:

I.Loved.This.Novel. It made me really think about my life and made me ponder what my life will look like in five years. I went into this novel thinking I knew what it would be about, but it shocked me in the best way possible. I’m not one for romance novels or even novels that are closely related to romance, but I didn’t mind it. I actually cried at the end of this one, it left me feeling emotionally drained but in the best way possible. In the next few weeks I’ll be posting a more detailed review. I received it from NetGalley and Atria books in exchange for an honest review, it will be published March 3, 2020.

F*ck No!: How to Stop Saying Yes When You Can’t, You Shouldn’t, or You Just Don’t Want To by Sarah Knight

Pages: 304

Rating: 2/5

Thoughts:

This one was a big fat nope for me. I struggled to get through this book, it was way too repetitive. I did a book blast about this book and that’s all I’m going to say. NEXT!

Thoughts:

Love.love.love this novel! One of the best reads from December. The plot was so interesting to me and it made me really think about how we use the internet, social media, and how people become famous… and at what lengths people will do to remain famous and in the spotlight. There will be a full book review of this novel coming out in the next two weeks. I received it from NetGalley and Graydon books in exchange for an honest review, it will be published January 14, 2020.

My Life in a Cat House: True Tales of Love, Laughter, and Living with Five Felines by Gwen Cooper

Pages: 258

Rating: 3/5

Thoughts:

This was a cute book for the first few chapters, then it grew to be tiresome. I began to get tired of reading about her cats, while they were adorable sounding. This book was a put down after one chapter, wait a few weeks then pick it back up again, or a put it down and don’t pick it up again book. I’ll have a book blast about what I liked and didn’t like in the upcoming weeks.

Here’s the six picture books that I read this month. My 5 cups of tea were It’s Easter, and Help Wanted, Must Love Books.

Bears Make the Best Writing Buddies and Frank and Bean had four cups of tea.

The Perfect Birthday Recipe and You Can’t Scare Me received three cups of tea.
