Thoughts:
This book made me feel so many different emotions throughout. The most prominent one was anger. I was so upset about what was happening to the characters – how the women were having their voices taken away and being limited to 100 words a day, and eventually none. I wish that there was more of a climactic moment. To me, the book didn’t have a major lead up like I was hoping it would at the end. It fell short in that aspect, and I was left feeling slightly empty after experiencing a lot of emotions throughout the novel. I still rate it a 5 out of 5 cups of tea because of how strongly I felt reading the novel.

Thoughts:
I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I’ll be posting the full review for this novel early next week. I found it very difficult to get though the novel. I wasn’t really attached to any of the characters, and I wasn’t invested into the plot. thought that Carson added too much details into the dam technicalities and it went over my head a lot. It wasn’t the worst book I’ve read, but it wasn’t the best. I don’t think I would recommend this books to others to read.
