WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

I currently have two books on the go right now!

The Chill by Scott Carson is an ebook advanced copy that I received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I expect that I’ll be finished this novel later this week or early next week.

The Madonnas of Leningrad has been on my bookshelf for years now. I’m only about 5 pages in and so far it’s pretty good.

I’ve managed to finish one book this week. This whole “adulting,” having a job and responsibilities thing is really eating away at my reading time!

I recently finished Vox by Christina Dalcher, and I really enjoyed it. It reminded me a lot of The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, because it had the same themes of women being oppressed in a patriarchal society. I’m hoping I can have the book review posted by early next week. I rated this book a 5 out of 5 on Goodreads, but I might bump it down to a 4 out of 5 after reflecting on the book some more.

I received a lot of ARCs from NetGalley over the past week and a half. Some of them are picture books, but I have two or three novels that I’m hoping I can get through in the next two weeks. I think my next read will be My Life in a Cat House by Gwen Cooper. It’s an ARC that I received and looks super cute. I recently picked up Scythe by Neal Shusterman this past week at Indigo. I’m probably late to reading it, but I just learned about it!

Let me know if you’ve read any of the titles I’ve mentioned or if they’re in your TBR!
