I feel like this week went by super quick! Unfortunately I didn’t get a lot of reading done. I started The Testaments by Margaret Atwood, and I’m just not feeling it. I’m about 100 pages in and so far I’m not impressed. I think I annoyed my boyfriend this past week with my commentary as I was reading the book. I like to express my thoughts to him, and when he’s had enough of my ramblings he’ll direct me to write down my thoughts for this blog.
This week professionally speaking, I had a support session which was pointless. I work as an Early Childhood Educator in a before and after school program as a supervisor. I’ve also been glued to the news/the school board website that we run our programs out of to see if I will be able to work next week. If any of you are from Ontario Canada, then you know that the union CUPE are potentially going on strike. If they do, then I will not able to run the before/after school program. I won’t get into too much detail, but the support staff in Ontario is not impressed with our new government’s cuts to education, frankly neither am I.

My plans for this weekend include drafting more posts for next week and finish The Testaments. I’m hoping that the weather remains cool so I can put on my reading socks and have copious cups of tea and coffee. I also plan on watching the Montreal Canadiens vs the Toronto Maple Leafs. I’m a BIG hockey fan and my team is the Canadiens.
What do you guys like to do on weekends? What did you read this week and what are your favourite cozy fall reads?
Love the background, and those socks sure do look comfy. I think”unimpressed” was the nicest thing I heard you say about the book. Hope it gets better, as I look forward to hearing and reading your final thoughts on the book. Go Canadians!!!

The reading socks are super comfy and warm on this cold day. I’m going to try and read a couple more pages while I sip my now cold coffee before I have to go back to work. Thanks for the comment!
